Once best practice care has been provided we focus on providing accurate and timely billing for you and your family. Petroglyph recognizes how complex and confusing health care billing can be so we continually look for ways to improve and make the process more transparent.

Fast Facts about the Petroglyph Billing Process:

• We will always bill your health insurer first and hold them responsible for amounts they are contractually obligated to pay before requesting any payment from you.
  
  
• Our billing department has been outsourced to local billing experts so we can concentrate on doing what we do best which is providing you with the best care available anywhere.
  
  
• A local billing firm was selected so we can maintain direct oversight of how our patients are billed and because they understand the unique needs of New Mexico and its financial diversity.
  
  
• People experienced with explaining insurance benefits are employed.
  
  
• We strive to file every claim accurately and in full compliance with all applicable regulations.
  
  
• We will never waive co-payments or deductibles to induce referrals. This is unethical, is a prohibited practice, and is subject to civil penalties by Medicare and Medicaid.
   

Our goal is to ensure that high quality care is available to all patients regardless of ability to pay. Petroglyph does not discriminate based on financial status and we work closely with patients and with our billing service when granting discounts and setting up mutually agreeable payment plans.
